ok my dear guru friends. i have a issue (mini related) ![]() it has me stumped. now here it is, i am doing a rover removeable front on my roundie. but all the fixings are hdden, so to the naked eye, it looks normal. i have a rover cooper grille, so no opening hole for the bonnet opening mechanism. i also have a rover bonnet which i have welded new hinges to to suit the morrie hinges.. so how can i open/ close my bonnet without hacking my grille. internal release wont work, as ill have to remove my front at times. i dont want pins its got me stumped |

Use a short cable and pull the release from under the wheel arch or somewhere similar. |

under the front bumper for that idea? save you having to reach up into the wheel arches into god knows what. or in one of the air vents? |

old gas cars used to have a diaphragm lift cable (Impco 300a) which does a mad job on the bosses rod for opening his boot. its just a chrome "T" under the car at the back. you can buy em new for $30 and would suit your application perfectly. |
