If you contact Wombat on the forum and ask him nicely, he can send you a copy of a CD containing all the Mini info you need, including the rod change and remote change gearboxes. Be warned, a small charge comes with this excellent service :D :D .

The Leyland Australia `black book' one (1976) has a section on 4 synchro remote change, but it doesn't even mention rodchange.
It's pretty useless in a lot of places really, I bought it because it has the full info on repairing automatic boxes.
This book is still available from www.pitstop.net and elsewhere.

The Gregorys/Scientific Publications No. 02 has good instruction and info on both the 4 synchro remote box, and the rodchange one.
For the earlier (3 synchro) boxes, see Gregorys/Scientific Publications No. 64.
Both these are probably out of print but I bet you can find them on eBay.

Gregory's 02 is still available new from most Mini shops (well, the ones that sell manuals anyway  )

The earlier Scientific Publications manual is NLA as far as I know.

KC's The Mini Expert has a full gear box rebuild section with pictures based on the rod change box.

He now has international mail order so you can order direct from the man himself.
