My clubman has been in the garage all week as i have tackled the job of changing the radiator. I thought, yeah, should be straight forward, remove bolts, out with old, in with new, replace bolts. Easy. Boy was i wrong! After finally removing the old radiator(seriously, those lower mounting bolts and shroud screws are murder to remove) i go to put the new one in, but the shroud srews are too small. Off to Kmart(it was late at night) to find screws, 3/8 too small, 1/4 too big. Next day go to Bunnings. After ripping open 6 packets and trying them( yes i brought the radiator with me!) i discover metric bolts, M6 to be exact, fit perfect. Tonight, put it all back together, top up with water, roll car out of garage, check cap, damn thing doesn't fit! Off to servo, buy cap, try it, goes on tight but should do, start car, round the block, needle moves to normal, whew, wipe brough, all good. Get out, look under car, There's a puddle! Water? No. Oil? No. Petrol? YEP! Damn thing under exhaust leaking petrol. Is that the Petrol Pump. Is it easy to replace? Please tell me the truth. Or maybe you shouldn't......
