Post subject: | Found some carbys |
Ahoy there mateys at a market on the weekend i found a set of twin SU's for what i thought was cheap so i bought them. They are covered in a nice thick film of grease so at the moment im cleaning them so while they soak for a bit i thought id see what i could find out about them. I measured across the hole where the butterfly valve is and it was 1 and 1/2 inches. The fuel float bowl is on a different side on each and each one has a metal tag. On one the numbers AUD607F and the other AUD607R There was also a bar connecting the 2 that i assume is something to do with the throttle So what can you tell me? Are they worth any money? Ill post pics of them once ive cleaned them have a rad day trent |

Yeah, they're a nice find. Not sure of the source of the carbs from the tabs, but not bad for a market. Pics tell more, but it sounds pretty much like a proper pair of twin 1.5 SUs from your description. |

ahh hang on, you've got to claim you got them off a BMC Works Cooper S GT SSS that was driven exclusively by Paddy Hopkirk as a daily shopper. This is before you can try and get offers. That's how it works. Now try again with a little more passion! |

hahaha ok, FOR SALE RARE similar to TWIN BMC WORKS COOPER SSSSS CARBYS What i have on offer is a pair of carbys that i won on the first series of survivor after completing a stamina challenge where i had to eat 4 raw sperm wales. After recieving the carbys i did some investigating and found that they were infact hand forged by paddy hopkirks mother as she was engaged in conceiving the now legendary Paddy. The hand forging took paddys mum 9 long months and as she tightened the final screw, paddy came into this world, took one look at these carby and proceeded to crawl out to the shed to begin his illustrious career. Using these exact carbys paddy won 428 world rally championships, used them to power the first manned rocket to the moon, powered the oringal mobile phone and was the inspiration for the flux capacitor in the back to the future movie series. So grab yourself a little slice of history today |
