hi, i'm woundering if i could glass bead blast my gearbox internals. i'm not sure if the glass will remove the heat treating on the gear. has anyone bead blasted there gears before.

why would you do the INternal of a Gear box :shock:

If there is slight surface rust on the gears use some crc and a soft green kitchen scourer, if there is heavy rust then there is already more damage done than a bead blaster will ever do to them.

Take it to a car wash that has a hot water engine wash and give it a good blast with the engine degrease cycle
