why would you do the INternal of a Gear box

hi, i'm woundering if i could glass bead blast my gearbox internals. i'm not sure if the glass will remove the heat treating on the gear. has anyone bead blasted there gears before. |

If there is slight surface rust on the gears use some crc and a soft green kitchen scourer, if there is heavy rust then there is already more damage done than a bead blaster will ever do to them. |

Take it to a car wash that has a hot water engine wash and give it a good blast with the engine degrease cycle |
