I'm after some new tyres for my 10 inche mags. I would like some performance ones, what are the good brands and models.

I think good performance tyres for 10" wheels are the Yokohama A008, Yokohama A032R and the Dunlop Formula R - all in 165/70R10.

The A008 is the best wearing one of the lot but it still has reasonable performance. The other two will last the shortest time but have the most grip.

Figure on spending about $200 a corner for the A032R's and about $125 a corner for the other two.

A008's from yokohama are fantastic, i bought mine for $106 per tyre and i will continue to use them, they are good in wet and dry and last longer than those others that have been mentioned.

I've been using the formula R's and are lasting a lot better than I thought they would, so far, mile for mile, they have worn better than my old 'Mabor's. Probably just because I don't spin the wheels every take off anymore, too much grip.

When they do eventually wear out, I think I'll give A008s a go and if they last significantly longer, without significant loss of grip, they'd be even better.

I found the A008's really noisy when going straight from Bridgestones (SF226 - non performance tyre). Next set will be Dunlop D93J (Formula R) @$125 each

I got some Dunlop Aquajets the other day, It looks great suits the mini 60's shape about $250 a corner rides nicely

Formula R's are a little softer than 008's but I love them
What do you guys PSI them to..I find I have to have them to 30-32 which is a little more than I normal run
