If I were to ever ad side repeaters they would be Rover ones and in the exact same position as where they were on Rovers.

Howdy, Im thinking about adding blinkers on the side of my car. Smallish ones, in the front guards or a panel... Why, cause when I am next to someone, they usuall cant see my blinkers. Anyone done similar? Pete. |

More than likely ill use some off another car... cheap but same effect, as long as they suit nicely.... hmmm maybe off a motorbike. |

my suggestion would be vr/vs/vt/vx clear side indicators. theyre a oval type light, would look neat |

theyre a oval type light, would look neat You can get them at any Shopping centre carpark - The last company car I had (VX Commodore) I went to Plumpton Marketplace to go to Woolworths. Was inside for no more than 20 mins. Got in, drove home. As I get out I notice, the side blinker gone and the wires hanging out. First thought was that someone had hit my car, but when I examined it there was no other damage. Next morning I rock up to the holden dealer to get a new one, and walking in notice the left side missing as well - the service managers comment: since they went to clear lenses, they are constantly replacing them due to theft! Whatever type you use, I'd factor in the cost of LED bulbs too. They draw bugger all power so won't change the flash rate, which is usually governed by the amount of combined power that the bulbs draw - this is why your blinkers flash faster when you blow a bulb. |

I think that's not correct - MAYBE if you just do the indicators it wont make a difference. I changed all my globes to LED's and because they draw so little power it IS like you've just blown a bulb so the flash faster. I had to modify the flasher/relay to time them right. |

Most (older?) cars use a mechanical flasher unit whose rate is governed by the amount of power drawn. Electronic units are available that are plug compatible, that have a set rate regardless of power. These are essential replacements when attaching a trailer (or additional lights to the car) that draws more power and changes the rate of the mechanical units. You can get them at most bigger named auto accessory stores like Repco or Bursons, or at a trailer/caravan yard. |

theyre a oval type light, would look neat I've seen these on a couple of Rovers when the owners haven't been able to get original replacements (or were too lazy to walk past the nearest carpark). They look too big on a mini - stand out too much especially on a dark coloured car. |

The commodore ones look OK on a roundie - but would not suit a clubbie at all. Get the square Rover ones

i like the sound of the commode repeaters - just worried about the scale, you wouldnt want them to be too big for the side of the car |
