To get it re registed it should have all the pollution gear on it, but saying that, not many rego inspectors out there would be aware of it.

It should all be on the compliance plate - it should tell you what regs apply to yours

Duh! Thanks Bloke - Just saw this massive great number and ignored it - didn't realise until I looked at it closely it was a list of the ADRs
What is the very first line on the plate - I only have a photo of the plate and the car is in Rocky.

This is a list of the ADRs off the compliance plate of a 10/78 Moke. Its off Terry Pollard's Australian Moke Register.

ADR No 27A is the pollution fitted cars, i think it was superseided by No. 28 in late 78.

According the the ADR website # 28 is External Noise (if I read it right).

If I recall correctly.....ADR27A was emmision control for passenger cars, but for Comercial vehicles (mokes still being utes then??) they werent as strict with emmisions at first. Passenger cars were first to be regulated, commercials came in a bit later, and were very different regulations at the time.

OK to resolve all confusion I have just ordered a copy of the ADR CD that has the 2nd edition ADRs on it - that covers all cars made up to 1989.

Anyone interested   say no more

Not sure if I've got this right but I think most mokes got away with just the black cannister plumbed in. Most were registered as "Utility" - my 1980 one still is - and because that was a commercial vehicle it didn't have to meet the other criteria that most mini with anti -pollution gear on them.

Though that may not apply in your situation Wombat if theres no pollution met ADR on the compliance plate...

Same here , my 1981 Moke has the charcoal canister and that's it . It's a 2 seat 1275 Californian so i guess is still classed as a commercial .

Mine's been engineered as a 4 seater - plated and all - guess that makes in Non-commercial :?
