its buy-it-now, so it'll set you back 1300 pounds. then i guess you pay import taxes etc, and shipping.

Pretty hard to find for sale in Oz. You can buy an Elder 8 port though, they are made in Sydney. 8)
See the thread on 8 port heads in Mini Mods forum.

These heads go for around the $3300 range which doesn't include twin webers. But does include custom extractors & weber manifolds.

Hmmmm Brad argh you show me this after everyone is convincing me to do a conversion....

I think I have finally seen the light & I'm going to do a engine conversion. No more thinking about 8-port heads.

Only thinking about Toyota Starlet Gt motors or V-tec's.... Yum Yum 8) 8) 8)

Not meaning to hijack the thread but its better than starting a .new one.

Talking about heads.Dean (and Kev for his info) Measured the head off your old car. After I took 2mm off it, it has now had a total of 6mm shaved off since new  Got it back yesterday the guys did a great job. Really needs some more ex port work bit that will come later with a bigger 2" Extractor system and side dump exhaust.

Will pst pix in BARM thread tonight. If anyone is free will be putting motor back in this Sat between 9am and 1pm at Garrys workshop.

Holy sh!t, Batman.. that's a lot! Are you sure? Chambers would be 3mm deep!
How thick is the deck now?
Original thickness was 2.750 inches.....

Kev I measure it - it 6mm less tham 2.75" sorry did not convert it to inches. It was 4mm less than 2.750 " before I sent it away and now it's 6mm less. I'm thinking about how much weight I'm saving

Brad, I rebuilt it last time.
It's an old Waggott 1275 race head, with a c/bore machined into each chamber to let the pistons come out of the block.. that reduced the height of the chamber walls for `better breathing'. (so they say)
With the 9.5:1 Powermax 1380 pistons it has now, I doubt if it was even 9.0:1 before. So I advised Oz to rip some more off the face.
I'd guess it's a bit over 10:1 now.
(Mine is OK on BP98 at 10.4:1).
