I just bought a 1964 mini deluxe and its got a flaty battery... 
Unfortunately i cant get teh Bootlid open... the key turns 180 degrees but the handle doesnt budge. Any ideas how to get it open? Is it possible to disconnect the hinges and take the bootlid out or is there a another way to get it open? |

You just answered your own question. Try remove the hinges and slide the boot lid out of position. Good luck! |

Drive the hinge pins out with a suitably sized drift. |

the prob is i cant get to the hinge screws because the chrome bumper is in te way and the bolts holding the bumper is all rusted |
