hi, i'm about to buy a rebuild kit from minispares.com but, i'm wanting to check with people, if these kits are any good and what are the average postage costs that people payed. is it worth getting the kit with the diff pin and gears or not.

just make sure you get the right input gear inner bearing.

I got the kit and the extra bearings that are not included but suggested - ask for an upgrade to the heavy duty lay shaft. The fibre washers for the diff are a little on the thick side - The Doc suggested using bronze washers which are not available anywhere but I found some in an original MK1 diff in good condition and right thickness. Freight was just under £38 ( got 3 other small items that wouldn't have made any difference to the overall weight)
