I wanted to know what sort of interior a "bold as Brass" clubman GT would have, production date 11/72.

is this the basketweave panelled pattern or the plain panelled pattern.

Also what colour should it be??

Did the appropriate interior, come in any other cars? how hard is it to get?

Thanks Brenton

hiya Brenton,

Plain patterned for your late GT, with headrests.

Basketweave insert is 71 and early 72 only.

Not sure of colour.

Early(71/72) non-GT clubman seats are the same, but may not have headrests.

cheers! jon

Jon is right, except late GT plain trim (without basketweave) is slightly different to early Clubman plain trim (non GT - no basketweave). Same pattern, different vinyl.

For a Bold As Brass car, you can't go wrong with BLACK trim. Late GT's and standard Minis from the same period (1972), had the same vinyl.

Other options for late GT vinyl were: blue, green, red, tan. This is tan trim from my 3/72 Camino Gold GT

The vinyl was not 100% plain in colour. All colours except black had a darker grain through it. You can see that in the pic. It's not dirt

GT door cards matched the seats.

GT's with basketweave seats had basketweave door cards. GT's with no basketweave had no basketweave throughout.

This might help some more....

I need to correct some dates there, as 5/72 for the changeover is incorrect. It was more like 2/72 - 3/72 for changeover from basketweave to no basketweave.
