I want to remove the hydro units from my rear subframe.

Am I correct in thinking that a good long soak in CRC-40 and large strap wrench are the go for releasing the "thread". I can't think of any other way.

Any suggestions will be greatfully received by the management.

Cheers.

Yeah anything which helps you get a grip on the displacer is a bonus, and CRC will loosen things up nicely.

Undo the hoses from the rear of the subframe first if you can, it will help take a load off the displacer as you try and turn it.

They are usually not that difficult to "unlock", a bit of squirt and a tap with a soft
hammer, then turn a bit

With regards to CRC-40, it works, but there is better stuff around for unseizing
rusty nuts & bolts

Try a product called "INOX", you'll be suprised how much better it works

Oh it's a good idear to deflate them first if you did'nt already know this

Thanks once again for the advice.

I'll have a crack at it tonight. Tuesday night is Dad's "Mini Night" at our house - I get to work all night without being hassled for other duties. I usually get the odd few hours on weekends, but it's not guaranteed depending on family activities.

I'm off to the shed...
