mini is over 35 years old - beautifully cheap premiums $330 comprehensive/year moke is 31 years old - crap, about the same as nrma ($15 less) - $400 third party a year, $560 comprehensive. rover: less than 35 year old, value around $10K (im not too sure if they care if you're a P's driver or an oldie) so im guessing it would be a fair bit |

Can't remember actual prices but shannon's were really expensive for my rover mini because it wasn't a classic car.. (plus I lost my licence once for speeding) I used "just car's" I can't remember the exact price but let me know if you want to know it, they did agreed value and they didn't mind about my loss of licence. |

Yep sure am. and thats alot of money down the drain that could have been spent alot better. originally we got a quote with shannos or just car one of the two and it turned out to be arould $3000 we ended up with NRMA who were the cheapest. |

At $3000 I'd be just insuring it 3rd party property and banking the rest, that way you could by another mini ever 2-3 years ![]() |

Insurance companies don't seem to like the rover's... Coom's I'm 19 and my insurance is in my name with no one else listed on the policy and it's just under a grand. Car is insured for 6k with Shannons. |

I have no problem insuring with Shannons. We have two Rovers (1993 & 1994) and mutant (import) and deluxe and Mini K van. They also insure our everyday car and our house and contents. I would highly recommend them. Although I must admit some of the prices on this post seem extremely high. I do find that the guy we have here in Vic doing our insurance at Shannons seems to be a lot cheaper than other states. His name is Matt Brinsden and he is located in the Melb. Office. You could always give him a try. |

If you are a car club member, you get a better deal with Shannons. You also get a better deal the more cars you insure with them (eg: Jan's example). |
