Guys, Roundy's 850 has started to get prepped for it's paint..... now what he wants to know (his computer has spat the dummy so i post for him tonight :oops: ) what is this colour , becasue he would like to go with this combination.........

marine blue hay

I like this combo so i might use it

If every thing goes to plan i should have the

paint and panel done by mid janurary but i will keep you guys posted

Steve,
Looks like it may be indigo blue. Similar to my fathers Cooper S but a little darker. Do you have any photos in direct sunlight? Indigo blue has a bit of a green tinge to the blue if that helps. The other similar colour is baltic blue but that is what Ricks car is painted in and it is a little lighter. Roof with that colour was snow white, like 66BMC. G

nah, indigo blue is purple, I've got a couple of friends with MK2's that are indigo blue, looks nice, but a long way from that. I dunno if that car is an original colour.....

I wish i had a better pic of the car 13sec.................. it's actually in the MIni Experience Mag............... i don't know if anyone on the forum knows the guy who owns it. His name is Andrew Williams and having seen the car in the metal i can say it is an incredible peice of work.. check the engine bay out.......

One of my photos taken at the QLD mini muster on 13 June 2004.
Owner is Andrew Williams . Car won best modified round -nose
Color from memory is marine blue which looks more of a grey than in the picture.
Tried to read details on board in original photo for details without success.
Lot of nice minis at that muster.

Just a thought, try contacting the QLD mini Club.
They may be able to put you in contact with him. He would have had to give them his contact details when entering his mini for the muster

mmmmmm shiney, looks immaculate. Hope your body is 100% straight if you want that colour, it will magnify all imperfections .
