Hey guys,

Hoping someone can give me a few ideas or know of someone I can use to get my mini from Newcastle to the Gold coast. All the transport compaines won't seem to take it as its not on wheels. It is only a bare shell (with seats doors etc..).

I am flying up so I myself cannot tow it, can't even hire something to drive it up myself as I have no help to lift it into a trailor or whatever. I need it gone by next wednesday and I will seriously cry if I have to sell him

If someone here knows anyone or company I can pay to relocate my mini can you please PM me. Thanks :)

[mod edited and paraphrased] I know of a company who are cheap but may not be so reliable - PM me for the name.

They transported my Traveller from Sydney to Melbourne for me. They weren't very expensive and they didn't damage the car. The forum rules about criticising business prevents me from elaborating, but lets just say that they weren't able to tell me where the car was or when it would be delivered until after they had delivered it (or rather, thrown it on the footpath).

Try roping it onto a makeshift pallet that is slightly larger than the body so that it can go as "freight" that can be loaded/unloaded with a forklift - maybe use two standard square pallets held together by a sheet of board between them and the body?

A Well known Newcastle company have agreed to transport it in thier truck if I use them to transport my furniture aswell. Can't argue with that.
I am super relieved and now off to finish packing.

Thanks again for the PM's and tips guys!!

Bahh , easy fixed , keep a water pistol filled with detol handy , one squirt and they're dead in a minute or two , dried out in twenty minutes and easy to dispose of , a lot easier (and kinder) than hitting them with anything . We had the cane toad death squads at Cabarita Beach , roaming about at night with water pistols and torches , must have killed thousands in the 3 years I was there .

Fair enough. Just thought you might be moving there on the premise that its a nice place to live. Its nice on the surface, however if you look under the covers its a different story. Take Q1 for example. I sware, the foundations of that thing are made of dodgy lebanese blokes and 17y/o slappers.

So the Mini wont get hit by a runaway bulk tanker.

I was going to suggest that you cold leave the mini with me. :D but you seem to have it sorted.
