Hi all, I just snapped off one of the grease nipples on my drum hub. Does anyone know any tricks to get the broken piece out i dont really want to do another hub up again. please any help much appreciated..... thanks Steve ![]() |

How much of it is still showing , can you get a set of vice grips on it and wind it out ? Failing that get an easy out that will fit the hole in the middle and wind it out with that . |

you can get a screw and bolt remover, you drill a hole in it and thread thing thing in and it should undo |

Nah theres none of it sticking out, would i be able to get those easy outs from bunnings or something like that?? Thanks |

Really crappy ones can be had from supercrap, but I think you will end up having to get that out as well once it snaps. Nicer ones come from tool stores or specailty nut/bolt suppliers. P&N and SUTTON make nice ones. You might also try a sharp screw driver of the right width driven in the hole and turned counter clockwise....might save you a trip and a night... |

A big nail might hold with help from a hammer then use vice grips on the nail |

use an easy out, you dont want to drill, bash etc etc because you will force crap in there. grab a cheap set they will do the job fine. |

![]() it snapped for a reason.... i snapped an expensive easyout, in a door hinge. engineer still cant believe i drilled it out. |
