One day I will buy a MINI. Don't know when. Prolly wont be a clubman, but if it is the badges are coming straight off. I'll make some traveller or better yet, estate badges for it. ![]() |

Why is that? Bit of a childish comment from someone who actually seems to be quite intelligent. I can relate to the MINI owners who despise this place, as so many bag the MINI and can't back up their comments with anything worth reading. Interesting article BIAM. At first I did like the concept, but..... that pic reminds me of a sci-fi character from Dr. Who ![]() ![]() The whole rear passenger door on the drivers side (in OZ) thing ruins its appeal for me. If it was on the other side, and I had money to burn, I'd probably buy one. and I'd even keep the badges on it ![]() |

Why can't they just call it the traveller or estate or something similar if they want to keep the link to the original mini , clubman doesn't suit it if they haven't restyled the front as well . |

Where is there an actual CLUBMAN badge on it? All I have seen are CooperS badges. ![]() |

Yeah, it's strange given the car is built in the UK, and the UK is BMW's biggest individual market, yet obviously the car's been engineered primarily for LHD. Maybe they have their sights set on the US for the Clubman.. maybe it's the SUV appeal ![]() |

![]() NOthing against the car, I like it, and dont mean anything against original clubbies, I really, really think they picked the wrong name for it, and I'll bet someone if they do produce a square front variant they call that the wrong thing too! ![]() |

![]() Don't know , but all the BMW press releases about it that are linked on the UK websites say it will be badged as a "clubman" , hopefully they've reconsidered and it will be an estate or something . It just seems a shallow attempt to use all the names that were associated with the original mini ![]() |

I think you used the wrong emoticon by mistake Anton , didn't you mean to use a chundering one ..... I'm sure someone in Europe has it already in production ready to sell once they are released . |

your all spot on that thing looks more like the alien crossbreed of a roundie van than anything like a clubbie, why oh why do these idiots in marketing get paid without doing some kind of research? guess it's time for me to go back to uni... maybe i'll try my hand at marketing..? |

Well I like it - from an engineering point of view! Its different!! I like the way they have done the rear door hinges to cover the tailights, and the suicide doors for the rear passengers. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I for one, dont think its too bad! Cheers, Tricky |
