A very early 850 this one! Would be one of the first CKD 850's produced in Australia. I also have an early 850 like this which is currently being restored. Is your car in the 850 register? Let me know if you find lots of the lizard skin vinyl - I want some too.

Lots of interesting differences in these cars including a totally different method of assembly - floor to scuttle and rear seat panel bolted together before spot welding etc. You'll also find the body number stamped on the rear floor section just behind the driver's seat. Seat mounts, fabricated suspension trumpets, paper mache instrument binnacle, slots as roof drains, door kick plates, hand stamped ID plate, DR2 wiper to mention a few.
Good luck with the resto

Yeah Araluen Blue, like I said I went to the local paint guy and had no luck.

I googled and came up with:
http://www.morrisdownunder.com/words/colours.htm

http://www.ozcooper.com.au/paint_codes.htm

I saw another almost identical at the Willson's + there is no evidence of any other colours (except bog & primer) I'm hoping it is the original colour as it's pretty nice.

this one lives in Albury, it's restoration has been completed... very pretty colour, though these pictures make the colour a little paler than in the flesh, it has a more purple tinge to it, almost like shadow blue but lighter

I saw it for the first time (and learned of its existence) today, very pretty car... Like an idiot, I forgot to take pictures of the interior. I'll see it again soon I'm sure if anyone is keen

centre picture is for sports850's benefit, tasman wheels with no flares. The stick out a bit too much at the front
