It should have a texture/ pattern made up of small triangles. The front and rear end should both be square. It looks like someone has trimmed yours up at the leading edge.

Easily found however on other later minis.

I've got those parts I think you are missing (the floor half of the clips right??), however they are the shorter type used on most minis. the coopers had a taller type to suit the carpet and hessian underlay.

I can help you with the shorter ones if you need them, they work fine (I used them on the old cooper). You may or may not choose to make a spacer to make them a little taller. No real visable difference once they're pinned down anyway.

I've got the tall ones that came out of my car, but will reuse them.

Old clip (with plastic spacer to allow the hessian underlay)...and new clip from Woolies in the UK. About 30 cents each I think. The new one could defintely de adapted to replace the old.

The old one (although covered in paint) seems to be plated brass.

Nope, can be found.

It's called Tretford now, and is distributed by the gibbon group up in Brisbane.

It's still made from a majority percentage of goat hair, and is a fraction thicker due to a thin pvc rubber backing. It's an industrial architectural carpet generally.
