YMA2S4 Body #: 1606 Cowl # 1106 I know its a Morris Mini Matic. What bloody year was it made? The wiper motor has this on it: 62971016B DR3A 12V 5 67 I would have thought its a May 1967? I think its the original motor. The boot lock has nothing stamped on it. Did anyone ever find out the complete history of the Morris Mini Matic in OZ? |

Production of the Matics started in November 1967. I would guess that it would be an early 68 built car. Which way to the wipers park? |

Not long after the wipers went to RH park with the recessed cowl, the `matic body prefix changed to YA2S5. I had 2, a 69 and a 70 with this later prefix. |

Im not having a go at ya!!!! Its just that only leaves a 2 month window for the car to be built in 1967. Im not 100% sure if the wiper motor is original or not as it has 5 67 on it. I would have thought that was May 1967. Its has nothing stamped on the boot latch, so the other place to look would be the wiper/headlight switches then? Any other locations? |

According to http://www.miniauto.com.au/home.htm the Matic started in Jan 1968. I guess that could be selling dates.... they may have been assembled previously. |

I dont have the engine/box, but as i said its Malmo Green in colour, which im led to believe was only used in 1967 and 1968? The ID tag says the engine number is 99H119/H/365 |
