hi all im running a 1100 with a mild road cam regrind double valve springs extractors with 1 1/2 inch exhaust and twin 1 1/4 su should i have standard needles? or downsize my carby? thanks guys PS been driving Julie for a year now do people stop telling you about the time when they were a teenager followed by 15 minute convo or should i just stop being suprised? ![]() |

Hi, putting it on the dyno is the best way to find out the needles for your car. You should at least be running M needles as per Cooper S with that engine, or even H6s. Twin HS2s are fine (near perfect) for that engine. |

thanks for that mate ill look into dynos around the area i have this bad feeling they aint cheap but should be worth it |

Make sure they know about SUs. Seems to be a lot of places that will tune your Evo V Mitsubishi Mirage fuel injection to suit the 5" rice cannon you've just fitted. I just spent $210 to have my daily hack put on the dyno to fix a bad miss under load. They gave it back to me saying there was nothing wrong ("It's just a Magna"). I gave it back with some more specific instructions and they finally found the miss - fuel injectors. I wouldn't take my Mini to this particular place if they can't even fix a sh*tbox Magna! But I digress... |
