did 850s have their internal door latches painted to match the cars colour from factory? i need to know for my restoration?

If you mean the actual latch part that bolts on to the door externally (were internal on Deluxes), then they were not painted to match the car they were left plain.

thanks. i have just seen a few car that have them painted and they appeared to be geniune

Well I was thinking of an 850 here in Canberra that has original paint on the inside and the latches weren't painted.
