Post subject:  clutch problems

please help,
basically went to start 1965 mini deluxe this morning, when i pressed the clutch it did not engage and the peddle is hard to the floor. is there some quick fix or am i in for a world of pain.

Try bleeding and adjusting the clutch arm up, it may be a simple fix.

Look around the slave cylinder for any fluid leaks, also around the master cylinder and inside the car as well (if the master cylinder leaks into here, it gets under the carpet and strips the paint if not cleaned out).

Has it been getting a little worse of late over time, or just today?

i had a small problem with it not engaging a couple of weeks ago, but it was only one day and its been fine since

ahhhhh closer inspection on the inside reveals a pin with a hole for a split pin so hopefully replcement will solve my problems. thanks mick, il let you know

So you reckon the clevis pin dropped out? I hope it's an easy fix for you.

awesome, something i can fix. sorted just need to go buy the split pin to hold it in and im set. once again cheers
