If you put the whole thing in you will need to swap the driveshafts or the diff. Your 1098 has rubber couplings and the rodchanges all have pot joints.
The rodchange gearshift can be fitted but you will need to drill a couple of holes in the floor for the shifter rubber mounts and also modify the big square hole in the floor a little. The mount bracket will need some surgery too.
If your remote gearbox is still working OK, it might be less work to use it instead- just bung the `new' 998 on after cleaning it out.
