So had my second super sprint yesterday. Practice was great, got my fastest time ever... Lined it up for race one got the jump on the Alfa GTV ![]() ![]() Rolled back into the pits popped the bonnet no holes in the block no oil leaks... Hmm first i thought it was the gear box but after trying to re-start it in neutral the god awful racket was still there. F*%K.... So what died inside? Stay tuned motor comes out today |

Spewing buddy, I know the feeling! I was gonna go to that but had to work. ![]() Could a valve have let go, that's what went in mine. Sounded awful when it happened and yeah, no holes in the block. |

Compression still evident on all cylinders (finger test). If it is a bearing, it's the noisiest bearing I have ever heard that has let go. ![]() |

In order to win an arguement at brickworx about a lap time you must have an official time around mallala. ALL others are invalid!!! |

i was under the impression that at supersprints they still utilise stopwatch timing |

Some they do, but the same person does it everytime. with set markers on the track to get times from. A lot more accurate than i/you/we could do from the pits. We can only get a general idea of times from our own timing, and they can easily be misjudged. Bring yours out to a supersprint and get a time... |
