Finaly started my New Ebay mini purchase tonight, It didn't expolde as I was expecting ( I had the hose ready to go) blew no smoke, and stated a million times easier than my Cooper S, very impressed. The owner said it ran but we couldn't get it started there, but I travelled 1000km to pick it up and trailered it home, replaced coils and spark plugs, and a few other minor things


Now just have to replace a brake hose and wheel cylinder and hopefully pass a road worthy.


Does anyone know where on the net a Tick list is so I can go over it before I give it to a mechanic so I know it will pass first time??

It might help if we at least knew which state you are in as they are all different as far as rego . I don't think there is a list as such for NSW but don't know about other states , just make sure it looks nice and clean (beg/borrow/buy a pressure cleaner and clean every ounce of built up oil and grease from the engine and underside . Also make sure everything works (obvious I know but I've seen people devastated to find their impeccibly rebuilt mini fail because they forgot to hook the tail-lights or horn up ) and it's free from rattles and squeaks .
