Post subject:  Plugs always wet

I am having a few issues with wet plugs. It will start fine then stall. Only if I pull the plugs and dry them will it restart.

The mixture if anything is to lean and I am using about half choke.

Any ideas

Are you letting it warm up before releasing the choke? Are the plugs clean?

After it stalls, are you trying to start it under choke before removing the plugs to see they are wet?

How new is the fuel?

Don't use the choke longer then 30 seconds after starting it, carry a rag with ya everywhere and check for ring wear and tear.

I had this problem a few years ago along with plugs fouling and needing cleaning every few months. I was using Optimax, switched to BP Ultimate and never had the problem again. Might not be your problem but it's an easy thing to try.

Sneak around to Speedy's (or whoevers closer now that he's moved) and "borrow" their plugs and see if it makes a difference . Plugs mightn't be burning hot enough to keep up with it ???

got some ngks to chuck in. I have no end of trouble with ngks on others cars - so I automatically take them straight out. But if they work A-series fine

I'm the opposite, never had a problem with Bosch - had issues with NGK.
