Hi guys,

well what a night, went there expecting a high 14 and got a high 13 out of it. Had 5 passes this is what they looked like.

14.5@95
14.2@101
14.4@103
14.1@104
13.9@103

worst 60 foot was 2.5
best 60 foot was 2.3 (still need to improve there).

Really happy with how the car went, this was in full street trim on 10psi.
what a RUSH.

brad.

Starlet GT Turbo engine 8) Well done, all that hard work payed off bigtime. Are you pumping her to 12+ psi next time?

will have to get a set of new thicker leads and colder plugs to up the boost, it was running out of spark on the dyno at 12psi. With the new gear and abit more fuel it will goto 14psi next time. Also need some new rubber, wheel spin city in 1st and 2nd gear.

I can imagine, my bank balance wouldn't permit 2 new tyres a week

Do you drive the monster on the road?
If so do you 'use' it whilst on the street or do you take it easy?

Good job at the races

yep the car is 100% street legal, and is given to on the odd ocassion.

I really need a nice flat surface to really hammer it, but is a great daily driver.

Tyres are fine, didnt do any big burnouts, heaps of tread, there just not sticky enough, spose as good as what i expected for $90 a tyre.

kev, 12sec??? maybe with a few more ponies, lsd and slicks, but im happy with a well setup streeter, but 12 does sound nice.haha.

Faaark that's impressive. What speed did you hit top track?

Now for a set of slicks..........Did Boosted sell those 10*7's?

Going to be tough to find a wheel/slick combo small enough to get inside the guard and big enough to clear you metro's.

Hey, a 12.9 is only 1 sec away... should be possible with better tyres, more boost and driver practice!
How much air did you have in the front tyres??

top speed i got was 170kph, my speedo is way out but because of the wheels, so it was reading at about 200??? it only goes to 180kph on mine, and went way past that.haha.

It was crossing the line in 4th gear at about 7000rpm, first couple of runs i changed to 5th but last couple i held it in 4th.

For extra grip (maybe for xmas :)) TOYO make a 13" street/race tyre in 195/60/13.

These are one of the softest, grippest street tyres out there, $200 each tho, so would only get 2 for the front. they should fit ok as long as i dont turn full lock.

kev, a second is a heap when you are in the 13-12 second zone. It is possible, but lsd and slicks are a must. I was running around 34psi in tyres, they were 38 for first run and let them out for the rest. Maybe could have gone more.

I know with the later runs i was getting more confident (less nervous) so definatly more driving practice is needed. First couple of runs i was sweeting like a dog, shaking abit, heart was pounding ahaha, big girl arnt i.
