Can it be done? What do I need, I should have everything (came from a 77 998LS). In pictures the regulating valve is on the firewall cross member, but I don't have any brackets, do the later cars? Its just I've already got new brake lines virtually all made up and ready for this setup

I'd assume it could be done quite easily in a deluxe since I managed to do it quite easily in my 64 850 van. The regulating valve is mounted by one bolt through the crossmember plate. The main thing to remember is to make sure all the new lines don't foul anything (clutch rod etc.). |

well, had a good look today, looks like I found the hole it mounts to, but because it came from a LS, its going to foul on the inner guard, so I'll make a nice hole for the end of the regulator to fit through, should be all good. |

It all fits in OK the PO of my wife's car did it. But don't kid yourself it's any safer.... they were fitted "to ensure compliance with ADRs". Doesn't mean they WORK. 
eg... We tried to bleed one up once- the front discs bled fine, but rear circuit had a slight leak, sucking in air at a rear wheel cylinder. There was NO pedal at all until we fixed that problem.

Dr, is that fits in ok with mods or without? The way it looks today, is the regulator is too long, and the furthest bolt hole on that crossmember triangular bracket its still gonna touch. Got any pics of your setup? I don't mind drilling a hole in the guard, quick and easy and won't hurt it strength wise. |

I have pulled apart a couple of the balance cylinders (the one under the MC, you called it regulator I think) and all have been rusted solid inside. This means in the event of a leak on one circuit the thing won't move anyway making the idea of the dual circuit pointless (the pedal will still go to the floor). AFAIK you can't buy rebuild kits either (they are sealed unit)...... Daniel |

If you apply pressure to one side only, the other should block the ports.. But as Daniel says most are jammed/rusted solid. |

OK, so this is what my MC and valve assembly (is that what it is?) looks like, but to fit this in my Deluxe, I need to move part of the inner guard, becuase the little end part (hidden behind washer bottle) hits the inner guard. Is this normal in a roundie?? |

Old Roundies never had them so, they're not normal. You should be able to mount it anywhere, doesn't have to be in the exact same spot. Chose another place to put it in the same general area. Dicko. |

Does anyone have the brake pressure failure switch that screws into the side of the dual cct Master Cylinder that they dont need or are willing to sell. Mine has gone inconveniently missing!

Got any pics of your setup? I don't mind drilling a hole in the guard, quick and easy and won't hurt it strength wise. Had a look at ours today, the end of the valve just touches the inner guard. No hole needed.

Does yours have an extra hole in the triangle brace plate or something? Mine will not fit, it just wants to play touchy feely!
