Post subject:  Mini Club of Tassie- Putting the apostrophe back in Minis!!
I's sure I know it has all been covered before. But i recieved a club magazine in the mail fairly recently. Which in itself is strange as last year when i was a member i got no mail and this year when i'm not a member I've got all the mail.
But in the magazine without a doubt at least half a dozen times the word mini was followed with an ' and an 's' making mini's. It has been in other ones to less extent also. Which just looks silly.

Today from big Al i got a few posters promoting the show at Longford and in big letters on the top line there is "Mini's" typed. :roll: I said crap.
It makes me sad and really makes my brain hurt.

I understand where this comment comes from.

When an individual or a group of people go to an effort to organise something, to pick out something so trivial is annoying and bordering on rude. Camel, if you are so concerned about the lack of spelling skills within the club, perhaps you could join in and lend a hand?

Yes it is not the best grammer, and it could annoy people. However you know what it means, you know what the purpose is for, so at the end of the day what does this thread achieve? showing that you used to get good grades for grammer in yr1?

Nuh, No way. This thread is nothing. The people in the mini club that I know would know i dont actually care, despite what the feel of thread might infer.
How would you like to be in Mifton and try and join in with Hobart. It is silly 8) . All they had to do was get a quote.

the camel and i were talking this morning and i told him i was going to start a rumour on here that he is gay (i dont care if he is by the way) . sports850 i might be able to send you one if you turn the other way when i get shitty and abuse someone or you could just pm your address and i will get you included on our mailing list, it works for my gay camel mate

This is a true story. Ive spent a year down south and a year up north. They are all good and very good people.

Except for Allan.

I put one of the posters up in the front door at work. Apostrophe and all, really doesnt matter :wink: So there must be a handful up around Smithton now according to the other guy. So that is good exposure.

Now back to my Švyturys Ekstra :D
