Okay, so far this is how it goes.
* still chasing Oil Px woes thought I would swap the electric px gaugue for a gauge with an oil line to it.
* no problems there as I just happen to have one in the shed
*Tried to undo the brass sender unit and the fitting snapped off at the block - crap !!
* no real big problem, have a set of ezyout's in the shed and the brass fitting stuck in the block has a whole through the centre of it
*Ezyout snapped of at the block
*Now have two off centre holes drilled through brass remains. Broke 10 drill bits per hole.
* absolutely no chance of brass remains unscrewing.

Where to from here ????????
Tried to find some one who comes to you to do this type of thing but no success.
An y ideas folks ??

Cheers
Matt

I would suggest no drilling it out as will fill the engine with tiny bits of sender. I would heat the block and use a large drill bit to get the remants moving a little. If you lucky you should be able to reverse it out.

Hi Matt,
Ezy-outs should be banned from the market, they cause more problems than they ever save. The problem here is that the Ezy-Out expanded the broken part of the fitting and it is now twice as tight as it was. They are extremely hard and you may need professional help to remove it. The options might be to drill the wall of the broken fitting and try to collapse it or have the broken Ezy-Out spark eroded out by a machine shop. If you don't have much ability, talk to someone in the trade, maybe an engine reconditioner.

Regards
Al
