Hi guys, I need some lower felt sliding window channels for the 850 I'm working on. Who would you recommend in Oz for quality parts and service? Regards Al |

Karcraft or Heritage MG (Mini) will probably be the cheapest for those. www.karcraft.com.au or www.mgspareparts.com.au |

Be a bit careful. You can still get the rigid bottom channel but the only upper piece available seems to be rolls of similar shaped rubber. These fit quite well when new but shrink after a couple of years. When this happens the windows will more or less sieze up. If anyone knows where to get the proper metal stiffened channel I'd really appreciate the advice. Cheers, Ian |

a while ago i went into clark rubber and asked if they had any of the top window stuff. the guy i asked was young and had no idea. it was not in the catalog so he said they didnt have it. i went back again and asked another guy weeks later who was much nicer and seemed to know more. he called up the sydney office and managed to track down some of the metal reinforced stuff for me. it was exactly as the original item. a few days later it arrived. cost about 170 bucks for a cars worth. it is perfect. all the dimensions are as original and the look is the same too. give them a try, go in with an original sample. |

A Grade Classic Parts Ph. (03) 57 801 300 Fax. (03) 57 801 311 http://www.agradepanels.com.au Well guys, I got the channels from Brenton (posted promptly), but when fitted, there was a problem with the quality of one. Brenton had advised it was slightly different to the other but we both thought it would do the job. Unfortunately, it wouldn't and I want to let you all know Brenton stood behind it totally and without an argument. He is to be recommended as a reliable supplier and I hope he does plenty of profitable business because of his attitude. I thought you should all know! Regards Al |
