Whats the stupidest thing you have done to get attention in a mini?

I will start. I had five people in the moke two in the front, two seated in the back, one standing up holding the roll bar, we went through hungry jacks drive through in reverse. Manager pissed her self laughing especially when we continued to drive off in reverse for about the next 500 metres at maximum revs!!

Sound like typical Young Mini Owners I have done a few of those thing in the past and So have my Mates.

Best was a Mate of mIne hid in a Golf Under pass for the golf buggys to get away form the cops.

about 17years ago, my mates mini was parked outside our house, he heard a noise and looked out to see 3 assholes in another mini breaking into his one. they saw him and took off... we went in persuit in my old 850, and found them hiding a few blocks away.
my mate (the guy in japan) put my homemade steering lock through their front windscreen into the drivers face... made a nice mess i can tell you too. he still managed to take off though. never heard anything back about it, bet it cost the driver a few bucks in dental work at least.
bill is under normal circumstances a placid bloke... Just dont mess with his mini

Sounds like just about every mini owner i reckon, it's because we spend so much time on them we don't want any other bugger taking of with it

We used to `water ski' behind my mate's Moke..
Dad had a deep dam about 100 yards long. We set a pulley block and a rope up in a tree near the dam wall, driver backed the Moke up to it while you paddled a surfboard backwards up the dam.
Then away the Moke would go! Lotsa fun, hang 5 or 10 for 99 yards.. don't forget to let go the rope, and stop the Moke!! 8)

I used to have fun by doing 60ish km/h while turning hard right thru a set of traffic lights.... and take my foot off the accelerator.... inducing a spin of 360 degrees .... hopefully without hitting anything...... well, It was a nice wide intersection

When that trick got boring, i put 2 bags of cement (50kg??) in the boot, and tried driving fast thru suburban corners. It made the car VERY taily. 8) kinda like driving with 2 flat back tyres i guess.

I love fighting with oversteer..... These days they call it drifting.

LOL@ the drifting comment.

A young apprentice at work is driving a lil 180SX, which I must admit while he's naive he has done a reasonably good job on. When I say naive, he truly thinks the car was built "for drifting". I always thought cars that were sold to the public were for driving on roads.

He also thought that a "Square Bore" meant that the piston traveled the same distance up the bore, as it did on the way down. Took us a while to get him to understand they do that all the time LOL.

lol.. not so much in my mini.... but used to have a lot of fun in the 1L (38kw) charade in the first few years of uni.
yes.. done the reverse through kfc after arguing with a passenger about who was gonna order... so I made HIM order, on HIS side!!! :D
security guard didnt have a sence of humor... so, over the speed bump, check for traffic, out into the road, a quick reverse 180, and sped off.

for those who dont know, I'm also into home made motorized scooters...
consequently, I stop and talk to anyone who's riding on one.
my mate rekkons that to this day, my best effort was driving along the main street in the right hand lane (2 lanes either way).. at 60km/h.
I saw a scooter... I saw a break in the traffic... I sed HANG ON... ripped on the handbrake, and pulled the neatest 180 he has ever seen... bang into 1st, and took off again in a cloud of smoke just before the traffic caught up to us...
... and yes... the road was dry!

This was not in a mini, a few years ago i was competing in a rally at Oberon in my V8 commodore rally car, we were doing 235kph in 5th gear on a narrow tree lined road, i was thinking this is too fast & if anything breaks we are dead, 2 corners later on a Turn very hard right uphill, the passengers ball joint broke, we were doing probably 30 kph when it happened, i gave up rallying shortly after.

Doogie

One night on the way home from a mini club meeting anto pointed out that my car would fit down the laneway near my house and was shorter than having to drive around on the road. So we drove up the persons driveway, across their grass and down the laneway... was quite amusing at the time now it just seems boring. Stupidest thing i ever did was attempt a 360 handbrakie on a dirt road which was off camber... the rear wheel hit the built up edge on the side of the road and pushed the tire bead off the outer edge of the rim... guess who had no spare in his boot or a jack- yes stupid me, although my mobile had reception.
