In the beginning, 850s had thin wheel centres, rivetted to the rim.
After they started breaking in competition the centres were made thicker, but they were still rivetted.
I think spot welding replaced the rivets somewhere around 1963.
I would NOT run tubeless tyres on rivetted rims, as they may not be airtight. Back then all tyres had tubes in.
