They look like standard (i.e. 'S', not 'LS') offset to me. |

now there's a wierd comment - no mini S ever came out with contessas... Cooper S's had Cooper S steel rims, and clubman S's had Clubman S steel rims ![]() likewise asking if they are offset contessas - well all wheels have an offset of some kind, so yeah, they're offset anyhoo those particular contessas are the wide offset wheels, the more common variety that were aftermarket, not the narrow offset type that was released as the factory wheel on the various speccy clubmans |

![]() Yes, but my point was that the wheels have the same offset as standard 'S' (Cooper S, not Mini S.. I should have made that distinction) items, rather than the offset on the LS. I knew what I meant ![]() |

well actually, Cooper S wheels have the same offset as Clubman S wheels, which do have the same offset as LS offset contessas, so you're still wrong ![]() the aftermarket contessas were probably made with a wide offset so they'd look phat, and the bunnies buying them wouldn't need stepped drums I'm big and ugly too, so come on... I've 'ave ya ![]() |

I've 'ave ya ![]() The `inset' ones came out on the Mini 998LS. Referred to as LS offset. They are sometimes referred to as ` Cooper S' offset because you can `just' cram them in an S without flares. You may have to trim around the S caliper bleed nipple boss. The `outset' ones were made for Minis with flat drums, they have about 1" more offset than the LS ones do. They fit legally under Cooper S or Clubby S flares with discs or stepped drums. On a Mini 850 or Deluxe etc they fit without flares. These are commonly referred to as `Mini offset'. ![]() |
