Well, I've been to have a look this morning. Cars have been sitting in the paddock for a while and whilst they currently belong to the owners of the property, they weren't responsible for their condition. They accrued them through their business and decided to advertise and if no luck they go to the crushers. They believe that the black one was being prepared for a suzuki conversion. It appears like a few suzuki engine mounts and gear shift mechanism have been tossed in the car. Bit of a pity

that the car has been vandalised so much as the rest of the body appears in reasonable condition but like any mini shell you get, one would never know what lurks below the paint.
Anton, I've taken a couple of shots of the engine bay mods for you. Don't think they would ever pass an engineers scrutiny if was destined to be a road car.
The other car is a 3/1973 'S' that has had the wet suspension removed and converted to dry. The braking system was also changed to dual type later systems.
As the seller states, typical mini rust. Both 'A' panels, top of the front R/H gaurd, roof channels, top of R/H 'B' pillar, front apron, around the hinges on the boot, windscreen wiper panel, and rear side window apertures. There is a whole pile of spares dumped in this one so couldn't really ascertain the condition inside the car except to say that going on the outside state, the inside is sure to reveal a few surprises especially as how we have finally had rain up here, so there is a fair amount of moisture in the inside.
If anyone is interested, I took a few other pics so PM me if you would like to see any more.
Another dampener is their location and the fact that neither are rolling shells. However I think that you could salvage a few good bits and pieces. Again, it is up to the individual if you think it is worth the asking price.
