There is something wrong with my engine where it shudders when taking foot off throttle and it has less power at full throttle than 3/4.

It is a 1330 with piper 285 and Hiff 44, as there doesn't seem to be any mechanics in Brisbane that know anything about SU I will have to fix the problem myself but have no idea what could causing the problem.

Also the person I bought the car off has destroyed the sump plug thread in the gearbox, is there anyway to fix this without changing the box case.

That would help. It needs updating though, Mini Mania in Yamanto no longer exsists, closed because of lack of customers.
