Hi all. I want to install my roof lining today and was wondering wich glue is the best suited fort that, and where can i get it.

3m brand super 74, i get it from a place in port melbourne (cant even remember the name) but what you need to buy is good contact adhesive, and as far as good ones in a can i think this is the best one you can get.
try specialised craft shops, its about $25 per can (the cans last for ages)

I used Selleys Gel-Grip, it is thicker than most so doesn't run on vertical surfaces.
I use it for the carpet too.

Just dont use quick grip like I did once,,it tends to 'melt' roof linings

I used qwik grip on both my roof lining and carpet also door cards and it works great.

dont use the cheaper spray contacts, they tend to let go, as i found out on my dash. i forget the brand but i bought the same brand in the tin(brush on) and that works perfect. so personally i would steer clear of spray on contact all together. but that 3m stuff looks ok

Oh yeah, cheap contact cement makes baby Jesus cry.

If you get a tin of good brand contact cement, you can thin it down with turps to make it work better if you want to brush it on a piece of trim (like when making the vinyl trims around the car).

Thanks all for your help, i used Selleys Gel-Grip works verry well, mayby too well. I stuck the roof lining to the outher of the car, forgot to allow space for the window seal. The roof lining is nice and wrinkle free,...But i Will have to do it again....I will learn sometime
