We are baout to do some repairs to the Clubby wiring.

Does anybody know where we can buy the relative combination of colours and traces to match the original loom? Preferably by the metre rather than buying rolls of each.

Cheers.

Dicko.

Try Classic wiring loom in Melbourne somewhere (they have a web site) They sell loom for mini so they probably have the right colour wire. Maby they can sell you some, worth a try.

Found this just now:

http://www.vinwire.com.au/

that web site wrote:
As well as supplying complete harnesses or looms for a wide range of cars, trucks, motor bikes, tractors, we can also provide many component items to enable you the restorer to make your own customized loom or modify it to your needs.

Nava also have a good range of colour/colour trace - may not be the exact but any Repco can get it in for you. get minimum 3mm (10 AMP) or 4mm (15 Amp) depending on your application (or thicker?)

Trouble with that these days is all the looms are now 30+ years old, and all suffer the same problems. It's ok for minor bits'n'pieces, but any major work really deserves new wiring.

Found a great company in UK http://www.autosparks.co.uk/index.php?content_page=home that are really well priced.

For 5m each of the 5 colour combinations i need and a new 6 way male and female connector, delivered to australia, for $27.00. Not too bad :)

I'll visit my local "pommy" Auto Electrician tomorrow and see what he can come up with for me.

Not too bad all the same....

Have to vouch for Classic Looms down here in Melbourne though, they do some nice work and have all the colours it seems.
