I dont mean to be insulting, but have you removed the lock washer. I just took my fly wheel off tonight. It was the first time i have done this and at first had no luck because i didnt remove the lock washer ![]() ![]() |

how hard did you hit it with the bfh? (some people would advise against this) |

not to hard as i know it can damage the crank. i hit it once or twice then rotate hit again rotate never hit more the once or twice in the same spot |

Seems to be a lot of people having the same hassle as you at the moment. Let's assume you are using a fly wheel puller - if not, there's one in the 'How To' section of this forum. You've already used a 'ton' of wd40 so just don't lose patience with it - tighten up the puller then give the fly wheel a 'whack' with a soft hammer (or hammer and a lump of wood) through the starter motor hole........turn it 90 degrees repeat the process....turn....hit....turn....hit and it will eventually come off. You may need a few coffees or beers between hits and turns. Have fun ![]() Hooroo |

Torque up the puller then pour boiling water over the flywheel near the centre. Cheers, Ian |

Also you can tighten the puller up and leave it sit for a day or so with tension on it , especially if it's sitting out in the sun and then cold night air . |

i used a fly wheel puller did it up as tight as i could with a crack bar spayed with wd40 severial time hit the end of the fly wheel puller with a hammer thought by doing this would send vibrations threw the fly wheel making it pop off no go so tryed the hammer and lump of wood with the puller still on hit rotate hit rotate arm got sore so got old man to help his arm got sore after awhile so gave up was time for a beer |
