Hi Guys, I have a few motors in the shed and I noticed this on the other day with weird thing's sticking out of it. the only number i could find is 24c7 My guess is it's a pollution head but as I have never seen one I would like confirmation. ![]() ![]() Thanks guys |

Yep, that's a 'smog' head. Those are the air pipes in their original fittings, having been cut off and crimped over. |

Yep, to the exhaust ports just after the valves. There was an air pump driven from the fan belt which injected fresh air into the exhaust ports to dilute the exhaust mixture, and lower the %CO emitted from the tail pipe. Smoke and mirrors for ADRs. |

Yes, and making things worse it actually worsened fuel economy, since the engine used more fuel to overcome the additional drag imposed by the air pump. |
