Have again developed an oil leak from the right hand diff end cover, not serious but the mess peeves me off. I have repaired it once about twelve months ago,it appears that the bracket from the extractors that mounts to the cover keeps working the bolt loose,
i'm thinking of mounting the bracket somewhere else. When i had it apart before ,it appeared as though the cover was not completely flush I E: flat across the gasket face.
My question is ,are the covers the same on 998- 1100- 1275 motors and is it possible to still buy them new.
Hoping someone may be able to help.

All the covers for magic wand and remote boxes are the same size, except Cooper S- which have 1/8" bigger bushes and seals in them.
All rodchange ones are the same dimensions as common ones above, but they have a lug on them to hold the detent spring in (it's under the RH cover).
If yours is a rodchange, you need a rodchange cover. If it's not, any cover will fit (except Cooper S).

I've not counted the automatics as they have a different design cover.
