The only head gasket to use is the single torgue type that is used for A+ turbo type engines.

Karcraft has them for both small bore and big bore engine (they are slightly different)

Yes - use the gasket appropriate for your engine - yours is a small bore and even if it was bored out it would still be a small bore.

Big bore engines (1275 and those bored to above) are a different casting and have a few things (such as water holes) in slightly different places. Also the spacing between the cylinders is different.

So the small bore (850, 998, 1100) single torque turbo type gasket is the one for you.

Yes - that should be fine

With the 295 head have you had it shaved for the bigger combustion chambers it has or using flat top pistons ???????

If not you going to have a pretty low compression ratio so the gasket will cope easily.

Okay plenty of detailed threads on here about the 295 heads and what is needed to make the mini have the right compression.

DrMini has given pretty explicit directions about how to measure what has been taken of the head already and hw much to take off it more is necessary.

Search for those - its very helpful

I have a 295 head waiting to go on my 1100 rebuild - I don't want to shave the head to I've been waitng for GRs flat top pistons. It came with unleaded inserts, I had slightly larger exhaust valves fitted and new double valve springs, guides and a skim flat and cracked tested. Also fitted a new brass bypass (per the Doc's design ) cleaned out all the threads fitted a new temp sender and have new studs all round> Gave it a coat of black epoxy but now have changed my mind on engine colour and will repaint it when the engine is all together
