I'd run the Rs if you have copper wire leads, but in all other cases stick with the standard type if you can get em.
Resistor plugs are designed to eliminate interference to onboard electronics in modern cars. But they have far better ignition systems than we do.
I had trouble recently with plugs in my (1977) Evinrude outboard- I fitted 3 new QL77JC4 resistor plugs (boat shop says are the current recommendation) and it wouldn't even get on the plane!.

I refitted the old standard type L77JC4 ones, and away we went....
