When I converted from drums to discs a month or two ago, I also installed a set of adjustable lower arms and caster/tie rods. With the caster arms at the original factory length, the wheelbase was identical on each side of the car, but it pulled hard to the left on the road. I dialled that out by adjusting the caster on each side of the car, and now that's left me with the following wheelbase: Left - 2037mm Right - 2052mm .. for a difference of 15mm side to side. My brother's clubby is worse, it has a 20mm variance.. but it points straight as an arrow. What's everyone else's? |

I wouldn't get too excited by a difference, a Renault 16TS had one side 100mm longer, as the rear torsion bars were mounted behind each other. To drive it, you would never know. ![]() |

![]() Well mine got shunted in the LR sometime in the past, I have a 5mm spacer on the RR hub to get wheel offset right. And it took some surgery on the trailing arm bracket to fix crabbing too. But it's fine since I did it. ![]() |

I am unsure of the history of my mini, and I have never driven it. I didnt look like it had been pranged. BUT if i do get it going and its pulling or crabbing could I have a panel shop put it on the bench and give it a stretch for me ? |

It would be cheaper and easier for you to fit adjustable suspension all round. You can do height, front/rear camber and caster for very little (by comparison to any other car every made). |

Grab a tape measure and a helper, and with the steering dead straight, measure the distance between the same points on the front and rear wheels. I measured from the point where tyre meets rim. |
