Well well well... Now what do I do??
The first call I got about the car was an offer of $4k sight unseen. The caller even insisted on driving 3 hours to look at the car even though it is up on stands waiting for a replacement rear brake cylinder. That person is still keen to buy it and hasn't driven it!
I've also just had another call from a bloke 7 hours away. He's keen to buy it sight unseen for the asking price without rego or RWC!!
And just now I've received an email from SA asking what price for no rego or RWC.
There have been at least three other people wanting to see it or send a mate around to look at it. For gawd's sake, it isn't even that pretty! I guess there aren't that many registered 1275 roundies for less than $5k.
As for the body. I've told eveyone that I'd recommend keeping it out of the rain. I've also told the two people who wanted a kharna or sprint car that I wouldn't run it not knowing how much steel and how much filler is under the amateur paint job. That didn't faze 'em.
So, anyone interested in looking at the car just to see what all the fuss has been about, Saturday morning is about your last chance. Mrs Hervey Bay looks to be getting a big discount for being the first to call and offer the cash and catching me by suprise.
So, the car will be sold for what I apid for it plus what I've spent on it.
I knew Camilla was a goer, even though she was a bit rough looking. But I never though she give me fun for a whole year for free!!
