hey just wondering i have a fairly worked 1380 im looking at a set of twin carbies, just wondering if 1' 1/2 will be efficient enough or would i need 1' 3/4? thanks |

Depends what you want to do with it really , if you want to race it , or do some hillclimbs then you will need 1 1/2's or 3/4's . If its just a road car then 1 1/4's are more than adequate . My 1380 Cooper S runs fine with 1 1/4's . |

As someone else has said-the inlet manifold is very important.I'm running twin 1 3/4s with Maniflow manifold match ported to the head.I was on 1 1/2 twins.Also get some decent airfilters. Get it on a dyno when you have it ready to run.

have to agree with all the above... Twin 1/4 or 1/2's Single Hif44 or even Weber/Dellorto 40 or 45's will do the job perfectly. Which ever route you take..Take the time an a few extra $$ to go the dyno and get it perfect to finish with...Don't just do Half a Up Grade |
