Post subject:  fitting late airconditioning to early cars

I'd like to know what needs to be done to fit the airconditioning unit from a late rover mini into an early aussie built roundnose mini...

I've seen the setup in plenty of rovers, but never in an aussie roundnose.

I know the compressor needs to take the place of the alternator, so the alternator needs to be relocated, what bracketry is required?

does the front apron need to be modified to fit the condensor?

what holes need to be drilled into the firewall?

what else needs to be done?

the bits'n'bobs that need to be fitted look like this (thanks Brett - his setup is for sale http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=37007)

i don't think you need to drill into the firewall... the pipe go through the left hand drive master cylinder holes....

the number/email is on www.brickworx.com.au... (it's easier to remember)

what if the car has heater hoses going through there already?

I don't want to call Brickworx - I want it published here so people can search and find out how it's done ;)

It all depends on the year of the air con system.
lots of different ways it goes through the firewall
